Luna Moth Headdress
I woke up and was totally inspired to make this piece. It's based on a luna moth, a beautiful moth that lives local to me and is brilliant green, and who lives only one week, just to mate. An entire phase of its life devoted only to love! It is very rare to find one because of this unusual quality.
This headpiece dazzlingly sparkles under lights... I can't even explain to you the strobe effect it creates. On my Facebook page I posted a video of it, so hopefully you have seen that. It sports two peacock feathers at the perfect angle to create a queenly collar effect, looking perfect from every angle.
It's got a beaded and sequined split hair band that hugs your noggin in a color that's between forest green and deep teal. The luna moth matches perfectly, and has two emu feather wisps hanging down (from a local cruelty free farm) that mimic the luna moth's actual wing shape. The moth glitters like nothing else under lights as well. A complete showstopper. And created so that you still can add additional hairflowers at the sides if desired.
One-size-fits-all, simply tie in the back of your head with the elastic lace bands. This design is easy to add flowers to, if you have flower clips that you love. This brings a whole new dimension of color to the piece, making it versatile and able to go with many of your outfits. Simply change the hair flowers you wear with it to match your outfit.
